(Contact admin@norwestsoccer.com to find out how you can help!)

The Nor`West Optimist Soccer Club is over 25 years old. It began as a fledgling soccer club providing soocer to the youth of the Whitehills area in London. It has grown to be one of the largest soccer clubs in Ontario. In 1999 The North East Soccer Club ceased to exist and the Nor`West Optimist Club stepped in to fill the void, providing house league soccer for the entire north end of The City of London. The Nor`West Optimist Soccer Club is a program provided by the The Nor`West Optimist Club. There are fewer and fewer soccer clubs under the Optimst umbrella. Nor`West Soccer is proud to continiue to be an Optimist Soccer Club.

As a community soccer club we encourge all our players young and old to give back to their community. Over the last season we have been pleased to continue our community projects.

WHEN MOM & DAD YELL AT THE GAME, THAT'S NO FUN (CLICK FOR FULL ARTICLE)

Youth sports can turn some parents into raving lunatics. Especially at the elite level. These parents love to yell: They yell at coaches. They yell at officials. Saddest of all, they yell at their own children for not playing up to an arbitrary standard. This is a mistake on many different levels. Child athletes rely on parents as their primary psychological support. When a parent gives or withholds support contingent on the child's athletic performance, it can cause emotional damage. Ironically, the first symptom of this may be poorer athletic performance.(CLICK the green upper case title above to read the full artice)
