POSITION TITLE: Finance Administrator
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
LOCATION: London, ON
POSITION STATUS: Part-time (10-20 hours/week)
COMPENSATION: $23.00/hr
BACKGROUND
NorWest Soccer operates as a non-profit soccer club in the City of London and wishes to offer its members the highest possible administrative support to meet the expectations of the athletes, coaches, and parents of the NorWest Optimist Soccer Club.
OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Finance Administrator is a vital role within the organization with the principal responsibility of maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring a high level of financial controls are in place.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Journal Entries, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
Review and process reimbursements
Reconcile bank statements with the organization’s financial records to ensure all transactions are accounted for and to identify any discrepancies
Keep records of invoices and tax payments
Communicate with vendors, customers, and colleagues
Maintain financial records in registration system
Manage bank and general ledger reconciliations
Prepare payroll for salaried and part-time staff using internet payroll service
Responsible for preparing timely monthly financial statements i.e. balance sheets, and income statements
Ensuring NFPO regulations are followed
Track fixed assets and record depreciation schedules
Assist with any necessary government reports, and the annual audit
Manage employee benefit program
Provide support to the Executive Director with human resources and office management
Other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time by the Executive Director
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions
Familiarity with financial regulations, i.e. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience using accounting software is required
Experience using an internet payroll service, considered an asset
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Is able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally

NorWest is looking for motivated, soccer-loving individuals to work with us for the Outdoor season. This position primarily involves working with youth soccer players. Training and mentorship are provided through this position. You will work through NCCP & CSA courses.
ROLES:
Field Crew Members:
14 Week, part-time position: Monday through Thursday eves & Saturday mornings. Starts mid-May until end of August.
Fun Day date a full day requirement.
Reporting to Field Crew Leads.
Starting at $17.00/hr.
Field Crew Leads:
14 Week, Full-time position: roughly 30 hours per week, starting late April and running through August.
Fun Day date a requirement.
Reporting to Club Admin & Technical Staff.
Starting at $18.00/hr.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with soccer training activities,
Referee young players in our House League program,
Ensure the safety and supervision of participants in their care,
Serve as a positive role model, exemplifying the core values of NorWest Soccer,
Create and maintain positive relationships with other NW Crew,
Assist with facility needs, equipment needs, etc.
Participate and lead activities and programming as required.
SKILL-SET DESIRED
Demonstrate good judgment while working with children and youth;
Ability to work and relate to children;
Competitive soccer playing experience is an asset;
Coaching experience is an asset;
Refereeing experience is an asset;
Strong communication skills, punctual, team player
Driver's Lic. and transportation availability is an asset
Leadership/Coaching certifications an asset (i.e. Referee, MED, Learn to Train, etc.)

NorWest is looking for motivated, soccer-loving individuals to work with us for the indoor season. This position involves working with youth soccer players. Training and mentorship are provided through this position. You will work toward NCCP & CSA courses.
Available to students looking to meet volunteer hour requirements. Depending on prior experience, there is the opportunity for this to be a paid position.

Crew Members:
16 Week, Part-time position: starting mid-October until early March, Thursday eves and Saturdays.
Crew Leads:
16 Week, Part-time position: roughly 12 hours per week, starting early October and running through early March. Role has the opportunity to role over into Spring/Summer season - Thursday eves and Saturday mornings - starting at $17.00/hr..
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Instructors with soccer training activities,
Referee young players in our Skills and our House League programs,
Ensure the safety and supervision of participants in their care,
Serve as a positive role model, exemplifying the core values of NorWest Soccer,
Create and maintain positive relationships with other Skills Instructors,
Assist with facility needs, equipment needs, etc.
Participate and lead activities and programming as required.
