There are two ways to register:
is offered as an option when you register a player.
is to use the link below to our PowerUp login screen & find the I want to Help dropdown pictured here --->
You will need to be logged in to see it.
If you are not the person who registered the player, you will need to have your own profile.
Make a new one if you don't have an existing one for PowerUp! We can attach your player to your account afterward, if you email us about it!
Alternately, your team will use the Captain of the Week system below:
Most teams have 1-3 parents who volunteer to coach the team for the summer, and they help each other during vacations etc. Sometimes, though, teams don't have someone who feels confident in taking on that role, even with our super supportive Coach Assist program.
These teams share the responsibility of bringing soccer to their kids' summers directly - and honestly have the MOST fun!
From your invoice:
"As a cooperatively run not-for-profit community club, all teams require volunteers. Plan to help your player Captain their team using our session plans for 1-2 weeks of the summer if your team can not provide a designated volunteer."
It's a distinguished honour to be a Team Captain. One, no child wants to miss out on!
Jessie Fleming is the Current Women's National Team Captain! David Beckham is probably the most notorious from the '90s!
They get to wear the Captain's Arm (shin) band for the game (available at the office),
Captains help with the coin toss at the game start to help the referee decide which team starts the game.
They take the kickoff for 1st or 2nd half of the game - depending on the coin toss,
They often bring snacks (at the team's discretion),
And they bring the guest Coach for the Week! 💚
A Parent Volunteer can request access to use the online Team Captain Sign-up sheet, or go alphabetically down your roster.
Session plans are provided to a Parent Volunteer who registers to distribute to the Captains' families online.
